The Immortal Girl and the Golden Knight 2
“Hey, what can I do to make you change your mind?”
“I’m not going to change my mind. I think of you as my little brother. Now, if you’ve finished eating then go home.”
Robin had come to visit Valeria again today.
It’s not like Valeria had summoned him here through teleportation magic. Neither had she asked the other two witches, or the Count who was now Robin’s brother-in-law to send him here.
He had followed through on his childhood dream of becoming a knight. And, with the special training he received from his former-knight-commander father, the hard work, and his own inherent aptitude, he had become strong enough to be able to get through the dangerous forest by himself to come visit her cottage.
On top of that, although he was a bit different from the famous beauty of the Caparoni family, he had grown to be quite handsome with wavy golden hair, gentle blue eyes, and a strong, tall body. The eyes of young ladies would always follow him whenever he attended society events. Moreover, due to his non-confrontational, easy-going personality, he was even favoured by men.
He had finally realised his dream, and had recently entered the knights as a new recruit.
“The food at home isn’t bad, but Ria’s cooking is the best!”
Although he would sometimes be picky with the dishes cooked by the Marquess’ chef, Robin still ate anything Valeria cooked. He would often come to eat the food she cooked; he had eaten with her for the few months he used to live with her as a child, and so loved her cooking.
“Slow down.” Valeria said as she watched him with narrow eyes gobble up everything in front of him.
‘Don’t tell me he wants to marry me just for my food?’
He would always eat in a proper manner in front of other people, but in front of Valeria, he’d turn into a normal 17 year old and shove everything in his mouth at once.
“Yo, you’re not really asking my hand in marriage just to eat my food, are you?”
Valeria looked at him with accusing eyes. Robin panicked at her gaze and tried to swallow but then began coughing violently. Valeria just sighed and moved over to pat his back.
“Geez, what are you doing! This is why I told you to eat slowly. Here, drink some water!”
Robin gulped down the glass of water she had handed to him. Then he put down the glass and grasped her hand which was still patting his back.
“Haaa, I thought I was going to die! It’s because you said such an absurd thing!”
Saying so, he pulled on her hand and wrapped an arm around her waist.
“Hey! Let go! Robin!”
“No! I’m not going to!”
Robin stood up and pulled her small body into a hug as he circled her waist entirely with his arm.
“I’m not a kid anymore. See, I can fit your whole body in my arm. Please look at me properly. How can I be just after your food?”
Valeria turned red as she felt his lips whisper into her ear.
“Huh? What did you say, Ria?”
Valeria was mumbling something under her breath with her face tilted down. Robin slackened his arm as he bent down to look at her face.
“Just who do you think you are!”
“Ah, not again! Do you know how hard it is to get here!”
As usual, Valeria swirled around her wand while muttering something with a red face. Robin was once again tragically teleported back to the Caparoni residence.
